My Passion... Be a Professional Personal Life Coach

My passion and vision being a Professional Life Coach:

·    I am now already a certified Professional Coach!

     My story before April 2017:

While preparing for my upcoming professional coaching training course, I feel so inspired, excited and looking forward to the training, as well as starting my own coaching sessions.

·    My belief and passion are to grow one's inner and external beauty as a human being.  It is very important to strike a balance between focusing one’s weaknesses and strengths, that is to explore people’s strengths alongside with their weaknesses.  My aim is to offer a holistic (comprehensive) coaching journey to my coachee.  I want to see people feel good about themselves through self-explore, self-identified solutions to have a beautiful mind & life.

These two quotes summarize my vision very well...

“Psychology is not just the study of weakness and damage, it is also the study of strength and virtue.  Treatment is not just fixing what is broken, it is nurturing what is best within ourselves.” Extracted from article: “Building Human Strength” by positive psychology pioneer Martin Seligman.

“Considering that most coaching clients are not essentially suffering from any psychological disorders but are instead interested in focusing on learning, growth and more constructive ways of handling certain challenges, it seems relevant to include positive psychology in coaching.” Extracted from Intervention Theories in Coaching and Coaching Psychology; A Guide to Third Generation Coaching by Reinhard Stelter.

I am not taking a very aggressive approach or thinking big to save the world, heal people with mental illness or preventing any psychological or mental disorder.  I simply want to start by helping a normal life worth living or meaningful, helping people to live happier and more productive lives in their own definitions, like what I have been working very hard to achieve these myself.

Offering a safe and trusted environment as well as building a long-term relationship between the coachee and coach are vital for the development both parties in a partnership relationship.

In order to achieve these, I need to leverage my past and present trainings & experiences.
o   My professional and corporate world experience in finance industry
o   My professional study and qualifications (Dual master including MBA, HKICPA)
o   My own interests and hobbies, including fashion & beauty, dancing, various sports, etc
o   My self-development focus areas, as well as continue to excel in these knowledge and skills:
  •    Professional coaching training
  •    Enneagram
  •    Communication skills
  •    Client Servicing Skills

  1. Is personal coaching partnership something you are looking for?
    • Coaching is an ongoing relationship designed to help you find answers and move forward.
    • Coaching is fundamentally about vision, goals, moving forward, learning from the action taken and being true to oneself.
    • This is different from a mentor or consultant who has answers for hire.
    • It is also different from counseling or therapy, which is designed to heal, often by conversations about the past.
